Opera GX introduces new color themes plus GX Cleaner to purge those old files
- New color themes completely change the look of your browser to fully match your colorful gaming setup
- GX Cleaner improves browser performance so it always feels brand new
- The Easy Files feature presents your last downloads in visual form so that you never send the wrong attachment ever again
Opera GX, the world’s first gaming browser, is introducing new features that allow you to completely change the look of your browser, while always keeping it fast and lightweight, as if freshly installed.
An unlimited number of colors for your browsing
At Opera GX, we are very keen on providing users with the most customization options possible, and we just got better at it. The Secondary Colors feature goes beyond the previously available browser highlight colors and lets you choose an entirely different color scheme for your browser.

Those who like presets can now transform their browser with Rose Quartz, Ultraviolet and Frutti di Mare, or go wild and create their own color scheme based on the color wheel. It gives you countless options to choose from.
From now on, the GX browser will also adapt the colors of the sidebar icons to the chosen color theme.
“Today, we are bidding farewell to unnecessary contrast and things that don’t match,” said Maciej Kocemba, product director and mastermind of Opera GX.
This version of Opera GX also includes a set of new wallpapers that match the look of the browser.
GX Cleaner: a smart way to get rid of excess browser files
GX goes way beyond the capabilities of traditional browsers: it actually lets you tune the performance of your system with its CPU, RAM and Network Limiters to give you that extra boost when gaming. This time, we’re pushing it further with GX Cleaner to purge those old and unnecessary files.
GX Cleaner helps clean up the junk browser files you don’t use anymore (think cache, cookies, browsing history or downloaded files). It’s designed to improve browser performance while still allowing users to choose which files it deletes.
This new tool provides several options for filtering files by date or specific browser location. This makes cleanup easy when you want to get rid of files that you haven’t used in, say, 6 months. “We simply wanted Opera GX to always give you that fresh out-of-the-box feeling, without compromising functionality or ease of use. Dare I say, we’ve succeeded,” added Kocemba.
GX Cleaner makes sure you only purge the files you want to, without deleting anything important, and makes sure gamers have full control over their setups and their browser. The feature can be found in the sidebar.
Easy Files ensures you never go wrong when attaching a file
Easy Files is a unique Opera feature that comes to GX from the company’s main desktop browser. When you attach or upload a file, Easy Files presents those which you’ve most recently downloaded, or the items you’ve last added to your clipboard, in an easy-to-click visual display. And yes, this includes your artwork from Opera’s Snapshot tool.
This means you no longer have to go digging through your various folders every time you want to attach something to an email or a message. Instead, you get a clean display of the three files you’ve most recently interacted with. You can attach files in a single click, and move on with your life.
Opera GX has 5 million monthly active gamers and counting
Opera GX launched in June 2019 during the E3 Gaming Expo in Los Angeles. The browser distinguishes itself with unique features tailored to the tastes and needs of gamers. Along with numerous customization options, sound effects, background music, Razer Chroma support and a gaming-inspired design, it includes CPU, RAM and Network Bandwidth limiters that make the browser less resource-hungry and leave more of the computer’s resources for gaming. The browser also includes a Hot Tabs Killer feature, which lets users “kill” the most resource draining tabs.
Opera GX has recently grown to more than 5 million monthly active gamers. The browser has won two leading design awards: the Red Dot Design Award 2019 as well as the IF Design Award 2020.

Spinomenal marks the start of the holiday season with Majestic Santa
Reading Time: < 1 minute
Leading iGaming content provider Spinomenal has unwrapped its new title Majestic Santa, signalling the start of the festive season.
Spinomenal’s festive-inspired treat is a 5×3 slot that is bursting with Christmas imagery including red stockings, gingerbread men, and glistening golden bells. The reels are beautifully presented within a golden frame amongst snow-covered rooftops, softly glowing windows, candles, and lanterns. A festive, homely soundtrack wraps players snugly into the action as they look to win.
Unwrapping three Christmas wreaths will take players into the Free Spins game. Before the round begins, players spin the Wheel of Fortune to determine both the number of free spins (between 10 and 40) and the symbol that will double during the feature.
Majestic Santa’s bonus feature is triggered when three luxurious gold ribboned presents appear on screen. Players are given three spins to start, and the goal is to complete the metre by collecting Scattered winning symbols.
One segment of the metre is completed with five present symbols and players can win extra spins when they find a +1 symbol. Once the spins end there will be the final payout calculated by the final filled metre cell.
Majestic Santa also includes Stacked Wilds, where Wild symbols can land during spins to elevate the chances of a festive win. In the base game, only Double Symbols can be triggered — transforming all symbols into their double form for even greater payout potential.
Spinomenal CO-CEO, Omer Henya commented: “Majestic Santa is an ode to the magic of the holiday season. Its warming visuals and festive soundtrack perfectly complement the excitement of Stacked Wilds and Double Symbols, delivering unmistakable Christmas cheer and plenty of chances to win.”
