EGT’s Swiss Jackpot 2.0 network pays two seven-figure wins in first month

EGT’s Bell Link 1 has produced two seven-figure payouts in Switzerland within a month of the launch of its Swiss Jackpot 2.0 Edition, a nationwide progressive network connecting 108 machines across 15 gaming establishments.

According to the company, the first win landed a week after the end-of-June launch at Swiss Casino Zürich, where a player hit CHF 1,712,996.47. Two weeks later, a second “GRAND HIT” was recorded at Grand Casino Basel for CHF 1,042,919.81.

The Swiss Jackpot 2.0 network operates under the Swiss Jackpot Organization and includes venues run by multiple operator groups. Participants cited by EGT include Swiss Casinos Holding AG (Zürich, St. Gallen, Winterthur and Pfäffikon), Groupe Barrière Suisse (Montreux, Fribourg and Courrendlin), Stadtcasino Baden AG (Baden and Locarno), and Groupe Tranchant (Basel, with a new gaming hall in Prilly expected to join later this year), alongside Grand Casino Luzern, Grand Casino Bern, Casinò Lugano, Casino Bad Ragaz, and Casino Interlaken.

EGT said Swiss Jackpot 2.0 was developed to meet Swiss regulatory requirements and, for the first time in the supplier’s history, uses an operating system that allows SAS-controlled jackpots to be managed via operators’ casino management systems rather than exclusively through EGT jackpot controllers.

In a statement, Emilia Tomachinska, Managing Director of E-Systems GmbH, said: „Special thanks go to the Swiss Casinos Holding AG, which, as the operational headquarter of the Swiss Jackpot Organization, carried the largest load of the planning, organization, communication, coordination, testing & validation efforts, as well as DRGT, whose casino management system provides the jackpot engine, ensures seamless communication between all connected machines within the jackpot network, and reliably feeds our attractive LED jackpot signs with the latest jackpot values.“
