Betsson Group goes live with Opta 3D football visualisation product

Betsson Group has become the first sportsbook operator to integrate the new Opta 3D football visualisation product from Perform Content, part of the Perform Group.

Customers from all Betsson brands will have access to Opta’s live visualisations for England’s Premier League, as well as 60 other top leagues and competitions from around the world.

Data experts from Opta track the ball movement and players on the ball, which is then relayed to broadcasters, digital media outlets and clubs to evaluate and help understand player performance.

Opta 3D also makes use of this data, which enables operators that sign up to the product to relay this information to their customers to use for betting purposes.

Integrating this innovative new product into our sportsbook offering means we can not only continue to improve on our customers’ betting experience, but also means we can lead the field with this pioneering new technology,” – stated Betsson’s director of trading Nick Maurice.

John Harlow, senior vice-president betting at Perform Content, added: “As a football fan, following passing sequences, who’s on the ball, where it is, and what they’re doing with it, creates the closest visual experience to watching the real match.
