Last week, bet365 announced to give away enterprise version of Riak NoSQL database to the open source community and continue the development of the product.
Andrew Deane, bet365’s systems development manager for middleware, said: “At bet365 we have a large development team dedicated to Riak,” adding that it is used in different parts of the bet365 platform (its bet placement system data issues are resolved by Riak for instance).
