Independent slots studio Thunderkick is bolstering its position within the Romanian market after signing a direct deal with Skywind Group, a tier-one operator in the country.

The agreement sees the provider’s portfolio, including acclaimed recent releases such as Hot Potato and Hellapenos, go live for players across Skywind Group’s flagship websites, including Luck .com and Princess Casino.

As one of the leading online casino companies in Romania, Skywind Group is set to aid Thunderkick’s growth within a key market for the provider. Future expansion into Germany, Latin America and the United Kingdom is on the horizon as part of the collaboration.

Skywind Group, founded in 2012, offers premium iGaming content and innovative solutions with over 200 first-party games alongside those from partnered providers, and boasts a presence in 19 regulated markets worldwide.

This latest partnership follows recent signings with the likes of Alea and Gamingtec, with Thunderkick on a continued upwards growth trajectory that has seen its position in the industry rise significantly across the past twelve months.

Fredrik Ekholm, Head of Sales at Thunderkick, said: “Romania is a key market for us at Thunderkick, so we’re thrilled to be partnering with Skywind Group to bring our portfolio of dynamic, exciting games to a much wider player base.

“Skywind Group is a leader in Romania with a reputation for delivering standout gameplay experiences, and we’re confident that customers will enjoy diving into what we have to offer.”

Daniela Asaftei, Head of CRM at Skywind Group, added: “Thunderkick has become one to watch over the past few years, and we’re excited to be able to offer its games to players throughout Romania – we truly think they’re going to love them.

“This partnership allows us to offer even more innovative, next-level games to our partnered operators, strengthening our brand whilst also allowing Thunderkick to grow even further in a key market.”
