This week we are pleased to announce a double interview with representants of the SMILE EXPO team. SMILE EXPO is among our closest partners in terms of events and we would like to introduce Anna Mazoruk and Lyudmila Machuskaya, the two women who made it all happen at the Georgia Gaming Congress and they aren’t stopping there.
EEG: If each of you could introduce yourself it would be great, we want to hear all about you, favourite food, how did you end up working for Smile Expo and how do you like your job?
Anna: First of all I want to say that I am pleased to be part of the SMILE EXPO team. The company offers possibilities for self-development and we all work hard, but in total we are proud of our work. Our events are held around the world. Our team is made of people with burning eyes, who love and appreciate their work, and these are people I refer myself to. I like to try new things, I like to travel and learn the culture of other countries, read books, go to the theater and just walk a lot in the fresh air with my child.
Lyudmila: I’m very proud to be a part of such a young, friendly and dynamic team as Smile Expo.
It is extremely pleasant to see the result of our work, to understand that our events do have an impact on the development of the gambling industry. My favorite work is an integral part of the harmony. Working in Smile Expo inspires me and I am very happy about that.
In my spare time I enjoy traveling, learning languages, reading, watching interesting movies, enjoying the beauty of my city.
EEG: What is your biggest achievement while at Smile Expo?
Lyudmila: I believe that first and foremost achievement is certainly the successful organization of Georgia Gaming Congress. The event was held for the first time and in a brand new location for us. The Congress was very successful and became a great platform for negotiations and establishing business contacts. There were leading representatives of gambling business from the CIS and European countries among the speakers and visitors of the event. This result is inspiring us to work even harder.
Anna: The biggest achievement was a good campaign promoting Georgia Gaming Congress which was a success and will now become an annual international event. I am proud of this and I am planning to do everything to make the show gain momentum with each passing year.
EEG: In your opinion, what is the key element that drives attendance to the expos that are organised by your company? Which were your latest organised events and what is next?
Lyudmila: The main thing is to follow the innovations and to keep up with the times. In my opinion, the ideal event (exhibition or conference) should bring together leading experts in the industry who can share their expert review and experiences, companies that will present their innovations and completely new products, that in the future will take the industry, in our the case the industry of gambling, to a brand new level.
The last event we have organized was Georgia Gaming Congress that has come with great success and was held on February 20th in Tbilisi. The next one is the Social & Mobile Gambling Conference – conference dedicated to the industry of creating and promoting mobile and social gambling.
EEG: What are the new features this year on the traditional events and could you just shoot us a quick history of these events?
Lyudmila: For Smile Expo the new year has started with the new event – Georgia Gaming Congress. Next event in our calendar is the Social & Mobile Gambling Conference – annual conference to be held for the second time, it is unique because it is the only event in Russia in this field. The next one is the Russian Gaming Week event which is the largest specialized event in gambling business in the market of Russia, CIS and Eastern Europe
Our team is very creative, we try to bring something new to the concept of our events and as soon as our ideas are ready for implementation, we will gladly tell you about them.
EEG: How the Eastern gambling market doing at the moment? Is there a positive international climb? Are there many foreigners going to these events?
Lyudmila: It is safe to say that representatives of the European and leading international companies have shown great interest in the Eastern European market. Georgia Gaming Congress has become a brilliant example of this. There are a lot of representatives of international companies among our participants and also they increasingly often become speakers at our conferences.
One of our main goals when organizing events is to create a platform for meeting of international experts that will allow gambling market development.
Anna: Speaking of promotion, I want to note that a large number of foreigners are interested in this market; for maximum coverage media work is being done on all international resources and publications.
EEG: What do you think about our portals mission? Should we improve anything?
Anna: With such a charming editor the portal is very nice. Thank you for your compassion and cooperation within SMILE EXPO projects.
Lyudmila: Your portal is rapidly developing, and we are pleased to see it. We are very glad to cooperate with you and wish you success and prosperity!
EEG: Here’s a funny one, but we had to ask. Are there any celebrities joining these event? 🙂
Lyudmila: Each of our speakers is one of the leading experts in their field, so all of them can be called celebrities, taking into account their contribution to the iGaming industry.
EEG: If you had to pick a country or destination to travel to, where would you prefer to go?
Anna: although it might sound like a platitude, but my choice is Europe. I want to visit Prague more frequently and enjoy its mysteries. It would be awesome to walk around Manhattan.
Lyudmila: First and foremost it is also Europe. In case with majority of European countries, you can go there again and again and each time discover something new.
EEG: Where you would not want to travel?
Anna: India, Africa – countries where everyone wants to go, on the contrary is not really for me.
Lyudmila: There are no such places for me, it would be interesting to go everywhere. Every corner of the Earth is beautiful and interesting
EEG: And as a closing question, which is not really a question, more like an opportunity to spread the word, fire away … advertise the next event.
