Sportito continues it’s European expansion with Maltese licence

Daily fantasy sports operator Sportito has strengthened its expansion in Europe by acquiring a gambling licence from the Malta Gaming Authority.

Following the licence award, Sportito confirmed that it plans to launch a daily fantasy sports platform aimed at the German gaming market as Maltese licences allow gambling companies to operate in any country except those with an already regulated gambling market.

Sportito already has a strong presence in the UK following its licensing by the UK Gambling Commission in 2016 and has signed partnership deals with Premier League side Burnley and Championship team Fulham FC.

Sportito recently partnered with mobile payments platform Boku which allows players to make deposits via mobile making Sportito on of the first DFS providers to offer this technology in the European market.

In a statement announcing the licence award, Sportito CEO Riccardo Mittiga commented: “Fantasy sports is growing really fast in the Europe and Sportito aims to be the number one platform with the best experience ever. We are happy to expand our business into new markets in Europe for the fantasy players with various preferences of tournaments and sports” he added, “We are a customer oriented company and our team is doing our best to become the first choice in the hearts of the fantasy players”.
