‘We live for the iGaming industry’ states EMIRAT AG’s COO

'We live for the iGaming industry' states EMIRAT AG's COOReading Time: 3 minutes

EMIRAT AG, the world’s leading risk management specialist in covering lottery jackpots, is set to take the iGaming sector by storm in July as they bring their promotional proficiency and consumer marketing campaigns expertise to iGB Live! (16 – 19 July 2019 RAI, Amsterdam). The company’s COO Andrea Bargholz underlines the synergy between lottery and iGaming, the rise of Private Lotteries and why iGB Live! is ideally suited for EMIRAT AG’s forward thinking approach to the industry…

iGB Live! Is primarily an iGaming event, how is the EMIRAT AG brand tapping into this market and what are your core aims?
Our company EMIRAT AG lives for the iGaming industry. The fact that we are not only specialized in one field of raffles but individually conceive each promotion, we are the right contact for this. As IGB Live! is one of the most important events in Europe for the Gaming industry we will definitely meet some of our clients to discuss how to grow business together. Our main goal is of course to cooperate with new potential customers. We will draw attention to our booth with an exciting on-site promotion where our potential clients will be entertained and see how easy it could be to address even more clients for their own business.

With regards to lotteries place alongside iGaming, should lotteries be competing for players with casinos and iGaming and if so, how?
Competition is certainly around the world and in many forms. However, in terms of iGaming and lottery, I don’t believe a competitive battle has to exist. The market for casinos and iGaming is so huge and diverse, there is space for everyone. From our point of view, one industry can learn from the other one. There are some players in the market that bundle lotteries to other products, so why can’t they bundle together with iGaming products?

iGB Live!’s conference agenda will investigate the fast rise of Private Lotteries, what do you believe are the benefits of these and how are you working with your client base to promote these?
The advantage is clear: a growing customer base as well as new orders. We support our customers that offer lotteries in different ways and so with Private Lotteries it’s about marketing, communication of high jackpots etc. The exciting thing is you can design individual lotteries so differently that it fits perfectly with the needs of the specific markets. Thus, the player has a wide selection of lottery options. Due to our cooperation with RNG (Random Number Generator) WorldWide it is quite easy to develop new lotteries for our customers. If you look into different countries all over the world you will find many different requirements we can definitely match. We leave no stone unturned!

With your expertise in lottery insurance, how do you see the sector changing in the coming years and how are you looking to tap into this at iGB Live!?
Due to the currently growing number of lottery operators, we expect a lot of development in the international markets. On the one hand, as lottery businesses become more digital and more mobile, the higher the jackpots are the more attention you get and the more clients you will attract. However, at the other end lotteries need to fit to your individual business. So even if you bundle it with other already existing products you need to make sure that the jackpots will be covered as trust is one of the most important values in gaming industry. That’s what we will bring into the game at IGB Live!

Do you feel events such as iGB Live! are essential with regards to expanding the relationship between iGaming and lottery?
IGB Live! is one of the top networking events. In our opinion, this trade show is of great importance, which is why we continue to actively participate in events like this throughout the year to expand our reach in the industry. We offer so many different products in the gaming sector that are essential to so many attendees.
We’re also excited to see where the market goes next. All of our products are customised, so that’s why we enjoy talking about new ideas early. We love to change opinions with market experts and IGB Live! is a perfect place to accomplish that for both iGaming and lottery business.

Andrea Bargholz and the EMIRAT AG team will be showcasing the company’s full portfolio of risk management offerings and marketing campaigns with a unique on-site promotion from Stand S10 at IGB Live! To set up a meeting at the event, please contact +49 (0) 89 / 255 41-0

Zimpler introduces ID+: A next-gen identification layer for digital payments

Published

on

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Zimpler, a leading Swedish company in Pay-by-bank solutions, today announced the launch of Zimpler ID+, a new identity layer designed to simplify compliance and accelerate user conversion within digital payment environments. By embedding biometric identification and regulatory checks directly into the first user interaction, Zimpler ID+ reduces friction in sectors with complex onboarding requirements.

“Zimpler ID+ gives our partners a direct path to compliance and conversion – cutting onboarding time, reducing drop-offs, and removing the need to build identity infrastructure in-house,” said Tobias Gunnesson, Chief Product Officer at Zimpler.

“While most verification flows still rely solely on deposit-based triggers or cookie tracking, we’re the first to enable verification at the point of entry – meeting compliance head-on and delivering a better user experience from the start.”

Purpose-built for highly regulated digital environments

Zimpler ID+ serves industries where compliance is critical and abandonment rates are costly, such as iGaming and financial services. It ensures users are verified from the start, without requiring deposits or post-registration identity checks.

Key features include:

  • Quick onboarding: Verification and collection of KYC data takes place at the first point of contact, not only at the point of payment
  • Seamless return user experience: Returning users can identify with biometric technology and are recognized with the help of cookies
  • Works even without cookies: If cookies are unavailable, the user can easily identify themselves using a passkey
  • Built-in compliance: Regulatory assurance at every step of the customer journey

By functioning as a unified identity layer from sign-up through repeat visits, Zimpler ID+ helps businesses minimize onboarding churn and maximize regulatory confidence.

Solving identification friction at scale

The launch of Zimpler ID+ comes as businesses across Europe face rising pressure to improve digital onboarding while maintaining regulatory standards. National ID systems remain foundational – but they weren’t built to optimize every business touchpoint.

Zimpler ID+ complements these systems by offering operators a plug-in layer of biometric identification and gathering of KYC information tailored to business needs. It removes the need for deposit triggers, repeated logins, or re-verification after a device change.

“With Zimpler ID+, we’re introducing a flexible approach that gives businesses more control over identity flows – without compromising security or relying solely on external systems” said Gunnesson.

Product availability

Zimpler ID+ is now available as a value-added service to select partners in Finland, with more markets to be added in the future.

By embedding advanced onboarding capabilities directly into its existing infrastructure, Zimpler expects ID+ to strengthen customer retention and enhance platform value across regulated sectors for years to come.
