Global Gaming Women Announce Winners of Annual Great Women Of Gaming Awards

Awards Recognize Women in Five Award Categories, Including Lifetime Achievement
Global Gaming Women is pleased to announce the 2018 winners of its annual Great Women of Gaming Awards. This year’s class of winners are:
Game Changer Category
Pokin Yeung – Founder, CEO Absolute Games. Yeung sold her company to Penn Interactive Ventures and is currently employed by them.
Leadership Category
Julia Boguslawski – Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Vice President of Investor Relations, AGS.
Service Star Category
Dale Merrill – SVP of Human Resources and Administration, Foxwoods Resort Casino.
Rising Star Category
Michelle Schenk – Senior Manager for Global Communications, IGT.
Lifetime Achievement Category
Debra Nutton – Executive Vice President of Casino Operations of Wynn Las Vegas and Encore, Wynn Resorts, Retired.
These Great Women of Gaming award recipients will be honored at the Global Gaming Women Monday, October 8, 2018 morning session of the Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas. Ms. Becky Harris, Chairwoman of the Nevada Gaming Control Board, will present the awards to each of the winners.

The Great Women of Gaming Awards, originally created by Casino Enterprise Management (CEM) Magazine and Peter Mead in 2004, were designed to recognize and encourage outstanding achievements by women in the gaming industry. In 2016, CEM transferred the Awards to Global Gaming Women. In keeping with the mission of Global Gaming Women, the Awards have been enhanced to broaden the awareness, strengthen prestige and celebrate the success of women in the worldwide gaming industry. Additionally, the Awards seek to engage more women in fields related to gaming and further Global Gaming Women’s goal of diversity in leadership.

PWR UP Week kicks off with the Mobies, Mobile Gaming Awards, presented by Samsung Galaxy, taking place at the Emmy-award winning Thunder Studios on Tuesday, November 19th.
Continuing the celebration, the Esports Awards presented by Lexus takes place at Thunder Studios on Thursday, November 21st. Attendees can expect the return of the Esports Village, unique, custom vehicles on display from Lexus, the beloved Glambot, and of course a full red carpet experience, with red carpet hosts Phil Visu and Steve Scott bringing the experience to fans at home. Following the ceremony, fans can tune in to the fifth Samsung Galaxy Battles tournament, where four teams of three teams battle it out on PUBG Mobile for the title.
Fans can tune in to watch the Esports Awards presented by Lexus on X (formerly Twitter), Twitch, and TikTok, and the Mobies will be streamed across its own respective X (formerly Twitter), Twitch, and TikTok accounts. The Esports Awards and Mobies can also be watched through official broadcast partners GINX Esports TV, ESTV, and Jio.
Gaming professionals will have plenty of chances to network and connect with like-minded individuals at the PWR UP networking event on November 20th and the return of the Esports Awards Open on November 22nd These events are dedicated to fostering connections between professionals in gaming, golf and networking.
