August 18 Match Ups to Thrill Hometown Crowd with Locally-Based Fighters Including Live! Casino & Hotel Employee Dante Cox

HANOVER, Md., July 31, 2018 – Live! Casino & Hotel announced today the debut of Championship Boxing at the newly-opened Event Center on SATURDAY, AUGUST 18, 2018, featuring a Main Event match with Laurel, MD native DEMOND NICHOLSON versus Brazil’s ISAAC RODRIGUES for the WBC-USNBC SUPER MIDDLEWEIGHT TITLE.

The Co-Main Welterweight event pits veteran fighter DeMarcus “Chop Chop” Corley, of Washington, D.C., against Mykal “Mike” Fox, of Forestville, Maryland.

Produced in partnership with Odenton, Maryland-based Jeter Promotions, the Undercard kicks off at 7:00pm, with the Main Event broadcast live on CBS Sports, starting at 9:00pm.

One of the most exciting match ups on the Undercard features Live! Casino & Hotel employee Dante Cox, of Elkridge, MD, against Latorie Woodberry, of Roanoke, VA. Cox made his pro debut in 2017. When not mixing it up in the ring, the self-proclaimed “Red Comet” is mixing up specialty cocktails and hosting guests as a bartender at The Prime Rib.

Other local fighters on the Undercard include Francisco Bustos, of Rockville, MD, versus Juvuan John, of Brooklyn, NY; Donald “Dangerous” Wallace, of Baltimore, MD, versus Ashton Sykes, of Columbia, MD; Zarifbek Nishanbaev “The Uzbek Warrior”, of Arlington, VA, against Kevin “The Scarecrow” Womack, of Baltimore, MD; and making his pro-debut, Chester Stewart, of Bowie, MD, takes on Charles Johnson of Washington, DC.
