As we know, there is active discussion of gaming business legalization in Ukraine. Some insist that the ban of 2009 should remain in force, and some try to give gaming business green light.
Experts are sure: adoption of the law aiming to bring out of the shadows and legalize gambling in the Verkhovna Rada will provide additional revenue. At the end of 2014 there was a draft law in the Parliament but it has never approved.
Director of Gaming Business Association Tamara Golubchik commented on the situation: “In the format it was submitted, it is unlikely to substantially fill the budget. If you take casinos, and not only be 5 stars facilities – it may bring up to one billion hryvnia”.
As head of Gaming Business Association, Tamara Golubchik is familiar with the process of Ukrainian gaming market formation at all stages – both in its high days and after the ban. Within the framework of Ukrainian Gaming Congress, she will share her expectations from the new law, will list her ideas to authorities and will give practical advice to businessmen.
According to the speaker, there is no need to take three separate laws on gambling. Tamara is convinced that it is necessary to regulate all types of gambling activities with one law. In particular, it is necessary to make business entry barriers lower. The association believes that next year t legalization of gambling will result in filling state budget with taxes of 2 billion UAH, and in a year – with 4 billion UAH. Within her report at UGC Tamara Golybchik, head of Gaming Business Association will speak about it in more details.
One can listen to the report of the expert on September 29 in Kiev RADISSON BLU HOTEL where the first Ukrainian Gaming Congress will be held.
