The performance of the first casino to open in the Russian gaming zone Primorye is a good indicator for other investors.
Konstantin Shestakov, head of tourism for Primorsky Krai in Russia said that the success of Tigre de Cristal, the first casino to open in the new gaming zone, is a good indicator for companies that are looking to invest in the territory.
“The apparent success of the first hotel and entertainment complex with casino Tigre de Cristal… will certainly serve as a good incentive for future investors,” said the official in a report published by Primorsky Krai Development Corp’ website, reported GGRAsia. The company is owned bu the government and oversees the development of the casino development area, which is located 31 miles away from Vladivostok. “Figures show that… investors [in Tigre de Cristal] and the state [as a whole] show a profit,” he added.
Back in June, it was announced that Tigre de Cristal was increasing tourism in the Primorye gambling zone thanks to its location near the local airport. Largely thanks to the casino, the passenger number flown to Primorsky Territoy rose by 30 percent in 2016 and that’s also shown by the casino’s revenues, that were increased by foreign tourists by 95 percent.
