The Romanian National Gambling Office(NGO) has granted 5 new licenses for online gambling operators that are looking to start accepting players from Romania. The 5 new brands come as a completion to the already 13 existing operators making Romania a strong market in terms of online gambling with a total of 18 granted licenses.
The five new brands have been granted the license to operate starting from the 1st of January 2016, giving them the opportunity to apply for a full license staring from the 31.12.2016, when the one year of the NGO strict supervision end.
There has been an extension of the period that was first announced with the 1st amendment regarding the period of expiration for the brand that have applied in 2015. The trial license would have been valid only by 31.12.2015, but in the 2nd revision of the law, this period has been extend to one year for every new operator.
The newly registered brand that are available for the Romanian players are:
• Maxbet.ro – run by Maxbet Malta Limited(Malta)
• Circus.ro – run by Reshuffle Gaming Limited(Malta)
• Baumbet.ro – run by Baum Online(Romania)
• Favbet.ro – run by Favbet Online(Romania)
• Dollarobet.ro – run by RG Fairplay(Romania)
