The CCGNJ Sheds Light on Resorts Casino, Atlantic City — SBTech Partnership

Hamilton, NJ — 07/2018 — Resorts Casino in Atlantic City recently acquired its second partner, SBTech, which will allow the casino to provide sports booking solutions across multiple channels including on-property, online, and mobile. The agreement with SBTech comes after Resorts announced their deal with DraftKings, a leading daily fantasy sports company. One thing is known for sure, Resorts is looking to be a significant player in the Atlantic City sports betting arena, and they are doing just that.

And while both SBTech and Resorts Casino is excited to launch their new partnership to offer the latest and greatest in AC sports betting solutions, the question remains about how it will affect the rest of the gambling community.

The Council on Compulsive Gambling of New Jersey Executive Director Neva Pryor chimes in stating, “With sports betting now more accessible than ever across multiple channels, especially mobile, the CCGNJ and myself, are worried this is creating a greater opportunity for more problem gambling in New Jersey.”

This strategic partnership between SBTech and Resorts Casino is just the beginning of the sports betting solutions provider long-planned penetration of the U.S. market.

It’s been an entire month since sports betting has been legalized in the state of New Jersey with other states following closely behind with legislature of their own to make sports gambling a reality. The CCGNJ would like to remind anyone in the tri-state area suffering from a gambling disorder to reach out to their 100% free and confidential hotline 1-800-GAMBLER for various treatment and support options. When there is no one else, the CCGNJ is always there.
