Bloko Padel Tour crowns 2026 winners at SiGMA World Rome finale
Blokotech confirms a 2027 return with six tournaments across Europe and Latin America, starting in Barcelona on 18 January.
Blokotech has wrapped up the inaugural Bloko Padel Tour with a Grand Finale held at SiGMA World in Rome on Wednesday 4 November, where the series crowned its 2026 champions. The finale followed earlier tour stops in Buenos Aires, Malta, Miami and Mexico City.
In the Beginner category, Rommel Bucheli and Edu Molina won the 2026 title, defeating runners-up Yosef Kamel and Ronaldo Molina. In the Advanced category, Borja Jimenez and Francisco Amat took the championship, with Nicolas Castearena and Andres Troelsen finishing second.
Marco Materazzi appeared at the Rome event as an official Bloko Padel Tour ambassador, with organisers using Pavilion 9 as a dedicated padel and networking space during SiGMA World. Former Formula 1 driver Giancarlo Fisichella also participated in an exhibition match on 3 November.
Materazzi said: “It's been a genuine pleasure to be part of the Bloko Padel Tour and to see the passion and energy surrounding the Grand Finale. Padel is a sport that brings people together, and that's exactly what this tour has achieved. I've loved being involved and seeing the competitive spirit and camaraderie among the players. I'm proud to be an ambassador for the series and look forward to seeing it grow even further in 2027.”
Blokotech said the Bloko Padel Tour will return in 2027 with six tournaments in partnership with SiGMA, starting in Barcelona on 18 January during ICE, followed by Buenos Aires (15 March), São Paulo (5 April), Malta (3 May) and Mexico City, before concluding with a Grand Finale in Rome. Blokotech Co-Founder and CEO Salvatore Messina said: “Rome delivered the finale that the Bloko Padel Tour deserved! Congratulations to our winners and everyone who made our inaugural season such a success. It's been fantastic to see the industry come together, combining some healthy competition with great opportunities to connect and build relationships away from the exhibition floor. We couldn't have asked for a better first season, and we can't wait to return in 2027 with an even bigger and better series.”
