Spinomenal adds Baba Yaga’s Rising slot to its folklore catalogue

New Slavic-themed title features four Free Spins stages and a rising stacked Wild mechanic in the base game.

Spinomenal has released a new Slavic folklore-themed slot, Baba Yaga’s Rising, expanding its folklore line-up with a 5x3 game built around stacked Wild and Free Spins mechanics.

The title runs on a 5x3 grid with 50 paylines. Baba Yaga acts as the Wild, substituting for all symbols except the Bonus symbol. The Bonus symbol appears only on reels one, three and five in the base game, and three Bonus symbols trigger the Free Spins feature with either five or ten spins, depending on the mode awarded.

In the base game, Spinomenal has added “Stacked Wild Rising.” If part of a stacked Wild lands on the middle reel, the game enters a respin sequence where the three-high Wild moves up one row on each respin until it exits the grid. The number of respins varies from one to five depending on where the Wild lands.

Free Spins are structured across four stages, with players progressing on a map each time the feature is triggered. The stages are: Winning Symbols Re-Spin (wins lock and the rest of the grid refills, continuing until no new wins; only the last respin pays), Shifting Wild (a stacked Wild starts on reel one and moves right after each losing spin, while wins hold it in place and trigger a respin), Expanding Wilds (a stacked symbol expands to a full-reel Wild, with no other Wilds in play during that round), and Extra Wilds (a sticky Wild sits on the middle reel’s second row while two to six single Wilds can appear during spins).

Spinomenal CO-CEO, Omer Henya commented: “Baba Yaga has been one of our most popular characters for years, so this time we built a game where the Wild does the heavy lifting. The rising Wild gives the base game something to chase between bonuses, and the four Free Spins modes keep players working towards the next trigger.”
