ICONIC21 launches live blackjack with free doubles and splits
ICONIC21 has launched Free Double & Split Blackjack, a live, unlimited-seat blackjack product where the house covers the additional stake when players double down or split on eligible hands.
The core rules follow standard blackjack, but doubles and splits are limited to specific scenarios. Players with a hard 9, 10, or 11 can double at no extra cost, while pairs from 2s to 9s, plus Aces, can be split for free. In both cases, ICONIC21 said the house funds the additional wager.
To offset the added player advantage, the game introduces a “Push on 22” rule: if the dealer busts with exactly 22, all remaining non-blackjack hands push instead of winning. A natural blackjack remains the exception and is paid as normal.
ICONIC21 said the table has no seat limit, meaning all players participate against the same dealer hand simultaneously and receive their own outcomes, without waiting for an open seat.
Andrii Savyntsev Product Owner Team Lead at ICONIC21, said: “Doubling and splitting are two of the most important decisions a blackjack player can make, but they’re also the moments that usually require committing more money to the hand. By removing that additional cost on eligible hands, we let players make those decisions based on the cards in front of them.”
“For operators, Push on 22 is what makes the format workable. It’s a single rule that’s easy to explain on screen, and it means they can offer free doubles and splits on an unlimited table while keeping the game in balance.”
