PG Soft launches Azteca Legacy slot with 7 reels and unlock-to-free-spins mechanic

New title ships with 96.75% RTP, high volatility and a 10,000x max win, plus an Ante Bet that increases trigger odds.

PG Soft has released Azteca Legacy, a new 7-reel video slot built around an unlock-to-trigger free spins mechanic and a 4-Corner Sync feature.

The slot uses a “5 or more” win condition where matching symbols touching horizontally or diagonally pay, then explode to make room for cascades. Wilds substitute for all symbols except the Free Spin symbol.

In the base game, Azteca Legacy features four golden positions on reels two and six that reveal random symbols at the start of each spin. If any of those symbols forms part of a win, all four positions convert to Wilds for the next round; once a Wild is included in a win, the positions revert to revealing random symbols.

The free spins trigger is tied to six locked positions around the centre Free Spin symbol. Any winning symbol touching a locked position horizontally or diagonally unlocks it, and once all six are open the Free Spin symbol activates to award 10 free spins. In the Free Spins Feature, the central Free Spin symbol becomes a fixed Wild with a x1 multiplier that increases by one each time it lands in a win; the four golden positions remain Wild throughout the feature. A +2 Free Spin symbol can also land to add two extra spins.

PG Soft said the game includes an Ante Bet option that increases the bet by 5x and guarantees Wilds in all four golden positions on every main game spin, which the supplier said makes the Free Spins Feature five times more likely to trigger. PG Soft lists Azteca Legacy at 96.75% RTP and high volatility, with a maximum win of 10,000x the bet.

PG Soft’s spokesperson commented: “We built Azteca Legacy around the idea of opening up a temple bit by bit. Unlocking the centre of the reels gives the main game a clear goal, and once free spins start, that central Wild just keeps getting stronger. It’s a great one for players who love chasing a big multiplier.”
