Golden Whale enters South Africa via PantherBet partnership

Machine-learning decisioning tech Foundation and BonusPilot roll out on PantherBet’s hybrid sportsbook and casino platform.

Golden Whale is entering South Africa through a commercial partnership with PantherBet, marking its first deployment in the country on PantherBet’s hybrid sportsbook and casino platform.

Under the deal, Golden Whale will roll out its Foundation™ platform, which sits alongside an operator’s existing systems to analyse player data in real time and apply machine learning to player-level decision-making. The company said its models are built for each operator and are designed to inform decisions across acquisition, retention, and reactivation, reducing reliance on manual, rules-based CRM workflows.

PantherBet will also gain access to BonusPilot™, a Foundation™ module that uses real-time behavioural analysis to identify which reward or offer to serve a player and when to deliver it. Golden Whale positions the product as a tool to help operators manage bonus spend while maintaining the player experience.

Eberhard Dürrschmid, CEO of Golden Whale, said: “South Africa is one of the fastest-growing markets in Africa and is a key strategic target for our growth in the region.

“The most successful operators in any market are those who understand their player behaviour and how best to serve them. PantherBet is one of the most ambitious operators in South Africa, and we are delighted to be able to support their growth with decision intelligence built around its own data.”

Andrey Rozhkov, CEO of PantherBet, said: “To remain competitive in South Africa, you need to be able to offer the best customer experiences on the market. Working with a company like Golden Whale will give us the insights and intelligent decision-making to enhance our customer experience.

“Our focus is on earning player trust and establishing ourselves as a strong competitor in the South African market, and this partnership with Golden Whale is a significant step forward for that goal.”
