UAE Lottery player Kishore Pandurang Rao wins AED 5m in Lucky Day draw
Indian national Kishore Pandurang Rao has won AED 5 million in The UAE Lottery’s Lucky Day game, according to a company statement dated 26 October 2026. The Sharjah resident matched all six numbers in the “Days” section in the 3 October draw, five days ahead of his 60th birthday.
The operator said Rao bought an AED 50 ticket via The UAE Lottery platform using Easy Pick. The winning numbers were drawn live on a Saturday evening. The company described the result as the latest second-prize win in the Lucky Day game since its nationwide rollout.
Rao said the win may allow him to pursue longer-term residency. “I always hoped that one day I would get a Golden Visa. I kept thinking that one day I'd get one. Now I have a chance to apply for a Golden Visa, and that's something I'd really like. I always tell my friends that one day I'll look into getting one,” he said.
He added that family plans are now a priority, including bringing relatives together in the UAE after extended periods apart. “Especially my wife,” Rao said when asked who he most wanted to share the moment with. “Together, we share our ups and downs. Now this opportunity has come, so I have to share it with her, and with my children.”
The company said Rao has lived in the UAE since 1993, including time in Dubai, Ajman, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi, and is considering travel plans with his wife. Rao also underlined responsible play: “Everyone should know their own limits. They should set a limit on how much they spend.” The operator said its games are regulated by the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA).
