PokerStars launches Irish Open 2027 satellite qualifiers across its network

Qualifiers start Sunday, October 25, ahead of the March 18–29 festival at Dublin’s Royal Dublin Society.

PokerStars is rolling out online satellite qualifiers for Irish Open 2027 across the PokerStars Network starting Sunday, October 25, as the operator ramps up promotion for the March 18–29 live festival in Dublin.

The 48th edition of the Irish Open will again be held at the Royal Dublin Society. The event is sponsored by PokerStars and Paddy Power and is set to be headlined by a €2,500,000 guaranteed Main Event. Other listed marquee tournaments include a €1,000,000 guaranteed Mini Irish Open and a €1,000,000 guaranteed Luxon Pay Mystery Bounty.

“The poker, of course, is a huge part of what makes the Irish Open special, but it’s the atmosphere, the characters and the craic that really set it apart,” said Cédric Billot, Associate Director of Live Events Operations at PokerStars. “Players come from all over the world to experience this unique event and when you get here, you can see why players keep coming back year after year. We’re pleased to support this brilliant festival once again with a wide-ranging satellite schedule and we can’t wait to get back on the green felt.”

Irish Open co-owner Paul O’Reilly linked next year’s timing to the St Patrick’s Day calendar in Dublin: “With St Patrick’s Day taking place the day before the 2027 Irish Open, next year’s event really is unmissable! People come from all over the world to watch the St Paddy’s Day parade - it’s the perfect opening ceremony for the Irish Poker Open! The world gets one Paddy’s Day but Irish Open players are going to get 13!”

PokerStars also pointed to last year’s Main Event results as a benchmark for demand. The operator said the event drew 5,003 entries from players in more than 60 countries, producing a €4,852,910 prize pool. Romania’s Narcis Nedelcu won the title for €336,790 after a five-way deal.
