PokerStars will bring PokerStars Open Campione back to Casinò di Campione on the shores of Lake Lugano from January 8-17, 2027, opening its 2027 live events season in Italy.

PokerStars said the festival will be headlined by a “newly priced” €1,250 PokerStars Open Main Event. The operator added that the full schedule and additional event details will be released later.

“We're excited to bring the PokerStars Open back to Campione and start 2027 with this hugely popular festival,” said Cédric Billot, Associate Director of Live Events Operations at PokerStars. “The success of the previous PokerStars Open Campione events, combined with the fantastic response to the recent Sunday Million Live gives us and our players plenty to look forward to.”

The announcement follows the conclusion of Sunday Million Live in Campione, which PokerStars positioned as part of its 25th anniversary activity. The €250 buy-in Main Event recorded 5,213 entries across online and live starting flights, building a €1,119,853 prize pool against a €1 million guarantee, according to PokerStars. Ettore Santoprete won the event for €100,000.

PokerStars also pointed to prior PokerStars Open Campione results: earlier this year’s Main Event drew 1,582 entries for a €1,518,720 prize pool, with Elvir Nuhiu winning €200,640. In 2025, the inaugural PokerStars Open Campione Main Event attracted 2,423 entries and generated a €2,326,080 prize pool, with Adrian-Sorel State taking €363,000. Separately, PokerStars said the Irish Poker Open sponsored by PokerStars will run March 18 to 29, with online qualifiers for both events starting Sunday, October 25. Further 2027 PokerStars LIVE stops and details of the 2027 PokerStars Live League are to be announced.
