AED 100m UAE Lottery winner says family time tops his first year after jackpot
Anilkumar Bolla says he bought property in the UAE and India and is exploring business opportunities a year after the Abu Dhabi win.
Anilkumar Bolla, the winner of The UAE Lottery’s AED 100 million prize, has marked one year since the draw by saying the biggest impact of the win has been time with family. The UAE Lottery shared the update on 22 October 2026 in Abu Dhabi.
Bolla said he used the past 12 months to support relatives, travel, and start long-term planning, including buying property in the UAE and India. “The most important thing is that I’m spending quality time with my family,” he said.
He said some of his first purchases focused on family, including buying his mother a gold necklace, rings, and bangles. “It was her dream to have a few ornaments, so I brought it all together and gifted it to her,” he said. He added that the family continues to live in the same house in India, which he described as his father’s dream home, and said he gifted his father farmland for organic farming.
Looking ahead, Bolla said he is considering business ambitions while keeping the UAE central to his plans. “There are some dreams which I have fulfilled, and there are some I have to work on in the future,” he said.
In the statement, Bolla also offered advice for other big-prize winners: “Welcome to the millionaire’s club. Stay humble, and spend your money in a disciplined way.” The UAE Lottery also referenced responsible play messaging and said its games are regulated by the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA), with participation prohibited for anyone under 18.
