Plaza Las Vegas launches ‘Dealertainers’ for its live-streamed casino tables
Plaza Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas is adding on-camera “Dealertainers” to the live streaming casino room it hosts for the Vegas Live Casino Network, the company said Oct. 14. The property will hold a casting call Friday, Oct. 16 from 4 to 6 p.m. in its smoke free gaming room at the Main Street dome entrance.
The Plaza said it plans to hire 20 to 30 dealers for the role, with shifts running daily from 6 p.m. to midnight. According to the release, candidates will be selected primarily for personality, but must also be licensed through the Nevada Gaming Control Board and be able to deal at least two of three games in the room: blackjack, roulette, and baccarat.
Referring to the positions as “Dealertainers,” Jonathan Jossel, CEO of the Plaza Hotel & Casino, said: “The streaming broadcast of Vegas Live Casino Network already showcases the fun players have at our tables. Now, we are upping the ante on the broadcast by adding dealers who will bring even more excitement to the live experience and the online show with their unique personality, unbridled enthusiasm, and unmatched flair.”
The Plaza also said Dealertainers will be “guaranteed daily tokes (tips),” a structure it described as unlike other Las Vegas casinos. Applicants are asked to bring a copy of their resume, arrive “camera ready” for a videotaped audition, and be social media savvy, ideally with active accounts and channels where they post regularly.
Earlier this year, the Plaza said it partnered with Vegas Live Casino Network to launch what it described as the first Las Vegas property with its own dedicated YouTube channel to broadcast table play.
