IESF wraps 11th World Esports Summit in Busan after two-day talks

World Esports Summit 2026 ran under the theme “From Decisions to Direction,” covering governance, youth participation and publisher collaboration.

The International Esports Federation (IESF) has concluded the 11th World Esports Summit (WES) in Busan following two days of sessions bringing together esports leaders, federations, publishers, sports organizations, and other stakeholders.

Branded around the theme “From Decisions to Direction,” the World Esports Summit 2026 agenda covered governance and development, youth and grassroots participation, publishers and industry collaboration, innovation, international cooperation, and the continued evolution of esports as a global discipline.

IESF positioned this year’s event as a follow-on from the 10th edition, themed “Shaping the World of Esports,” with a focus on translating discussion into shared priorities across the ecosystem.

“We have spent years building the foundations of the esports ecosystem. We have learned from both our achievements and our challenges. The next step is turning those lessons into direction, and making the decisions that will define where esports goes from here.” - said Vlad Marinescu, IESF President.
