Brazil court blocks restrictions on Stake Brasil until 25 October 2026

A federal court in São Paulo has granted Stake Brasil a partial preliminary injunction against MP 1,394/2026, allowing the operator to continue its licensed fixed-odds betting activity in Brazil until 25 October 2026.

According to Stake, the 9th Federal Civil Court of São Paulo ruled that Stake’s authorisation remains valid during the period. The decision also prevents the stake.bet.br site and domain from being blocked or redirected and bars sanctions against the company for operating within the conditions set by the ruling.

“Stake Brasil positively receives the decision of the Federal Court of São Paulo, which provisionally preserved the effects of its authorization for the exploration of fixed-odds betting,” the company said in a statement. It added that the decision is “an important signal for Stake Brasil and for all those who operate under state authorization and supervision.”

Stake said it has complied with obligations imposed since publication of the Provisional Measure and will continue to comply “in relation to the Provisional Measure and the determinations of the Judiciary, remaining at the disposal of the authorities.”

“To our knowledge, we are the first licensed operator to get a decision of this kind,” the company said.
