Felipe “lipe piv” Boianovsky wins $10,300 NLHE Main Event; Aku “Aku1206” Joentausta takes $10,300 PLO title.
PokerStars has wrapped the 25th World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP), concluding on October 8, 2026 from ONCHAN, Isle of Man, after more than three weeks of online tournament play. The operator said the 2026 series ran across 121 events and 350 total tournaments, paying “just over $49 million” in prizes and crowning 350 champions across High, Medium, and Low tiers.
The $10,300 NLHE Main Event (High) was won by Brazilian pro Felipe "lipe piv" Boianovsky, who topped a 289-player field for $551,632. PokerStars said Boianovsky is the first player in COOP history to win both the SCOOP High Main Event and the WCOOP High Main Event. “Winning another Main Event title is extremely special, and the fact that I managed to play my best for most of the tournament made it even more so,” Boianovsky said.
In Pot-Limit Omaha, Finland’s Aku “Aku1206” Joentausta won the $10,300 PLO Main Event for $179,610 after a 47-entry field, adding to WCOOP titles the operator said he previously won in 2018 and 2024. PokerStars also reported that the six WCOOP Main Events (three NLHE and three PLO) collectively paid out more than $7.5 million.
Away from the Main Events, PokerStars highlighted multiple-title performances including Benny “RunGodlike” Glaser, who won three events and extended his WCOOP record to 19 titles, and Renan “Internett93o” Bruschi and Johannes “Jepser8” Straver, who each finished the series with four WCOOP titles. On country results, PokerStars said Brazil led the titles table with 86, followed by the UK (42), Austria (27) and Canada (17). FAL1st won the Overall Player of the Series leaderboard and its $20,000 top prize from a stated $100,000 leaderboard prize pool.
Steve Clarricoats, PokerStars Associate Director of Online Scheduling, said: “WCOOP is a piece of poker history and every year we see players create moments that will be remembered long after the final cards are dealt. The 25th edition has once again brought together the very best online players, ambitious newcomers and some of the biggest names.”
