Tonybet launches poker in Ireland, adding a third vertical
The operator rolls out cash games, tournaments and Spins on October 6, powered by EvenBet Gaming.
Tonybet has launched poker for Irish players, adding the vertical to its platform on October 6. The operator said the new poker offering sits alongside its existing sportsbook and casino products, with no need for customers to create a new account or download a separate app.
At launch, Tonybet said players can access cash tables, scheduled tournaments with buy-ins and prize pools, and “Spins”, described as fast-paced tournaments with small fields. The poker product is powered by EvenBet Gaming, which the company described as a B2B poker supplier behind more than 200 poker projects across 20 countries.
Tonybet said the poker offering runs within its website, with rules for each format published on tonybet.com. The operator positioned the addition as a player-versus-player product integrated into the same account and wallet used for sportsbook and casino play.
Former Republic of Ireland striker Tony Cascarino, a Tonybet ambassador, commented: "Poker gave me a second sporting life. It has everything football has – pressure, reading your opponent, holding your nerve when everything's on the line – except you can play it into your eighties. As a Tonybet ambassador, it's brilliant to see the brand bringing the game to its players. Pull up a chair; you won't regret it."
