Advanced Compliance Technology names Mark Dufty head of game analysis
Advanced Compliance Technology (ACT) has appointed Mark Dufty as Head of Game Analysis, the company said.
ACT, which provides compliance and risk solutions for regulated betting and gaming operators, said Dufty brings more than 40 years of experience across racing and sports betting operations, including odds-making, risk management, and regulatory compliance in the United States and internationally.
Dufty previously served as Director of Trading Services at IGT, Race and Sports Director at Jerry's Nugget, and Assistant Director at both Hard Rock and Sands Hotel and Casino, according to the company. ACT also said he has led teams in England, Australia, Curaçao, and The Bahamas.
In the new role, Dufty will lead ACT’s analyst team reviewing game, event and integrity alerts generated by its AI- and machine learning-powered compliance platform, the company said. ACT added that the team will also refine the model when the technology flags potential risks, and continue development of its Fraud Rings tool, which it said produces a real-time “bubble map” to show suspicious connections across devices, accounts, locations, behaviours and transactions.
Mike Venner, Director at Advanced Compliance Technology, said: "Mark's extensive industry knowledge, operational experience and professional approach means he was perfectly suited to this newly-created role. The nature of our industry is such that more sophisticated syndicates, threats and tactics emerge constantly, and it is essential our models are constantly improving. Mark's team will continually refine our software to deliver the most accurate and precise mapping of threats possible."
Mark Dufty, Head of Game Analysis at Advanced Compliance Technology, said: "ACT is fast emerging as one of the most comprehensive compliance and integrity platforms for the sports and iGaming sectors. Real-time oversight is one of their core USPs, with my team ensuring this analysis of the threat landscape is accurate and trustworthy."
