Octoplay secures interim authorization to supply iGaming content in Pennsylvania

Approval from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board marks Octoplay’s third authorized U.S. state in under 18 months.

Octoplay has been granted Interim Authorization by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, clearing the company to supply its online casino games to licensed operators in Pennsylvania.

The approval makes Pennsylvania the third U.S. state where Octoplay is authorized to operate in under 18 months, following the company’s New Jersey debut with BetMGM in June 2025 and its Michigan launch with BetMGM, FanDuel, and Rush Street Interactive in December 2025.

Octoplay said the Pennsylvania milestone adds to a North American footprint spanning New Jersey, Michigan, Ontario, and Alberta. The company also noted it went live in Alberta “from day one” with seven operators, including BetMGM, FanDuel, and DraftKings.

"Regulatory approval is the foundation of everything we do commercially, and we treat it that way," says Martina Borg Stevens, Chief Legal Officer at Octoplay. "Pennsylvania sets one of the highest bars in the United States and we met it. That puts our content in three of the largest regulated states in the country and gives us the platform to keep building across North America."

Octoplay said it is approved to operate in 20 regulated jurisdictions, including Malta, the UK, Romania, Sweden, Slovakia, Italy, Belgium, Denmark, the Netherlands, Greece, Spain, Finland, Brazil, New Jersey, Michigan, Ontario, Georgia, Croatia, Alberta, and Pennsylvania. The company also cited Eilers & Krejcik Gaming’s US index, saying it ranked as the “#1 New Overall Top Supplier” for four consecutive months from April through July.
