Winpot signs sponsorship deal with Tomateros de Culiacán ahead of LMP season
Winpot has signed a sponsorship agreement with Tomateros de Culiacán, expanding into sports sponsorship as the Liga ARCO Mexicana del Pacífico (LMP) approaches its October 14 Opening Night.
The partnership takes effect immediately, according to the companies. Tomateros will open the LMP’s 69th season on the road against Venados de Mazatlán on October 14, before hosting Venados the following night for its home opener in Culiacán.
Tomateros de Culiacán was founded in 1965 and has won 13 LMP championships, plus Caribbean Series titles in 1996 and 2002. The team plays home games at Estadio Tomateros, which opened in 2015 and has a capacity of 20,000.
Yoni Sidi, CEO of Winpot, said: "We had been looking to venture into sports sponsorship for some time, and it was essential for us that our first partnership be with a club that holds such deep roots in its community. In Culiacán, Tomateros is a fundamental part of family life, and the atmosphere inside Estadio Tomateros on a big game night is unmatched.
We have additional sports partnerships planned in our pipeline, so more news will be coming soon. For now, we are proud to stand alongside Nación Guinda in its pursuit of a 14th championship title."
Ray Padilla, Sports Director of Tomateros de Culiacán, added: "Our fans demand the absolute highest standard from this club, and we hold ourselves to that exact same expectation. We’ve worked tirelessly over the summer to build a roster capable of contending for the championship, and having corporate partners who share and support that vision provides a great boost.
Winpot truly understands the Mexican sports fan, and we are excited to have them on board as we prepare for Opening Night." Winpot said it operates under the Wiztech platform, providing casino and sportsbook services in Mexico.
