Midnite taps BR-DGE to add payment methods and support expansion plans
UK operator moves from direct PSP integrations to an orchestration layer, adding TrueLayer Pay By Bank and planning more APMs and PSP connectivity.
Midnite has partnered with payments optimisation platform BR-DGE as the UK sportsbook and casino operator looks to strengthen payments performance and support international expansion plans.
The operator previously relied on direct integrations with payment providers in the UK and Ireland. BR-DGE said moving to an independent orchestration layer will help Midnite scale faster by improving resilience for pay-ins and payouts, enabling additional payment methods, and supporting optimisation across acceptance rates, uptime and cost through smart routing.
As part of the rollout, Midnite was able to add TrueLayer’s Pay By Bank via BR-DGE’s existing connectivity, with additional alternative payment methods in implementation. BR-DGE also expects to add further PSP connectivity for Midnite over time, which would allow the operator to route deposits and withdrawals across multiple processors.
BR-DGE said Midnite will use centralised tokenisation via BR-DGE Vault, keeping stored card details portable across processors to avoid re-tokenising players and to minimise checkout disruption. The platform will also provide gaming-specific benchmarking and market insights based on BR-DGE’s merchant base across regulated markets including the UK, Ireland, North America, Europe and Australia.
Jacob Spencer, Chief Revenue Officer at BR-DGE, said: “Midnite built a strong platform on a single PSP, which worked well domestically but limited how quickly they could add new payment methods or move into new markets. Moving to an independent orchestration layer mitigates that technical debt in one step, giving Midnite the scalability they need to match their success and ambitions.
“BR-DGE’s track record and data intelligence capabilities will augment and enrich our orchestration capabilities, enabling Midnite to direct every transaction to achieve optimal performance, even as their business evolves and grows.”
Christian Huynh, Lead Product Manager, Midnite said: “At Midnite, we want every part of the experience to feel built different, and payments are no exception. We’re focused on creating payment experiences that delight our customers, while building the flexibility to innovate quickly and bring the same great experience to new markets as we grow.”
