THNDR opens its skill gaming platform to third-party studios
THNDR has opened the THNDR Platform to third-party skill content, allowing external studios to publish certified head-to-head games into its iGaming operator network. The company said operators can access third-party titles through their existing THNDR integration, without onboarding a new vendor or running a separate compliance assessment per game.
The move expands THNDR’s catalog beyond internally developed games and is positioned to address a long-standing operator request for more skill-based content. THNDR said it has built its platform, integrity standards, and operator network since 2019 to support a scalable content pipeline and that these capabilities are now available to outside studios.
According to THNDR, every game on the platform must meet the THNDR Skill Standard. Its Game Certification process includes five pre-launch checks: platform integrity, a skillfulness evaluation, a rules and design audit focused on exploits and bot defensibility, a full security audit, and quality assurance. Post-launch, Match Verification applies to every match played; THNDR said its patent-pending verification produces cryptographic proof that a match played out exactly as the front end displayed, which players and operators can check themselves.
“Operators keep asking for more skill content, then the same two questions stop the deal: is this really skill, and can it clear compliance,” said Desiree Dickerson, CEO and co-founder of THNDR, and Chairman of the Skill Games Committee within the IGSA (US). “Opening the THNDR Platform to third-party studios lets us bring more games to market faster, with one integration operators can switch on. That is how you grow the skill market.”
For studios, THNDR is pitching distribution into a shared player pool across its operator network to avoid the day-one liquidity challenge common to head-to-head games. The company said its network spans 25+ live partners, with 160 million+ games played and a 99.99% fill rate, and that integrations can go live in 5 to 10 days. Studios can apply to publish at http://thndr.io/publish, and operators can integrate directly with THNDR or receive the catalog through THNDR’s distribution partners, the company said.
