Pure Interactive selects Gr4vy to add Apple Pay processor redundancy

Deal gives the real money gaming operator a single integration to route deposits across multiple payment providers in the US.

Pure Interactive has selected Gr4vy to support Apple Pay payments across its real money mobile games in the United States, with a focus on adding payment processor redundancy as volumes grow. The companies announced the agreement September 22.

Gr4vy will power Apple Pay deposits across Pure Interactive titles including Poker and Mahjong Solitaire on iOS and Android. Pure said Apple Pay represents a large share of deposits on its mobile-first platform.

Through Gr4vy’s payment orchestration setup, Pure Interactive can connect and manage multiple payment processors through a single integration and configure providers via the Gr4vy dashboard, rather than building a new integration for each additional processor. The platform is already processing payments across more than one provider, with more connections planned as the business scales.

The routing controls are positioned as a continuity play: if one processor hits a volume limit, transactions can be shifted to another connected provider to reduce reliance on a single processor. "Most payment platforms are built for companies that already know how big they are going to be. Fast-growing businesses have the opposite problem, which is that the thing constraining them changes every quarter," said John Lunn, Founder and CEO of Gr4vy. "Pure should be able to add a processor because they need more capacity this month, not because they planned for it two quarters ago. That is what orchestration is for."

Pure also cited consolidated reporting as a benefit, with transaction-level visibility across providers in one place. "We're growing quickly, and our payment infrastructure needs to keep pace with our user base," said Harold Castiaux, CTO, Pure Interactive. "With Gr4vy, we can add processor capacity for Apple Pay without building a new integration each time, and keep routing around the limits we encounter as we grow. For our players, the experience stays simple: they make a deposit, and it works."
