Playson adds BoosterCells bonus mechanic to Thunder Coins XXL series

Playson has released Thunder Coins XXL: BoosterCells on 17th September 2026, introducing a new BoosterCells Feature to its Thunder Coins XXL slot series.

The BoosterCells Feature is triggered through the Bonus Game, which starts when Coins land on reels 1 and 3 and a Thunder Coin lands on reel 2. During the round, collected Coin values are stored on the reels and can grow as play continues. If a Coin lands on a position that already contains a stored value, the two values combine, and Thunder Coins can also randomly boost multiple stored values.

The title also includes the Thunder Feature, triggered when a Thunder Coin lands alongside any Coin symbol. Playson said the feature collects the values of all Coins in play, including one of four in-game Jackpots, and adds them to the win for the spin in the Main Game or the Total Win in the Bonus Game.

Bonus entry can be accelerated via the Pile of Gold Feature, which Playson said can randomly trigger when any Coin symbol lands, adding additional Coin and Thunder Coin symbols “in sufficient quantity” to activate the Bonus Game. The game also includes two Buy Bonus Game options, including a Super Buy Bonus Game that guarantees three active Thunder Coins, plus two Extra Bet options, including a Thunder Spin that “triples the chance of Bonus access” and guarantees one Thunder Coin on each spin.
