GGPoker launches online qualifiers for WSOP Circuit Calgary Main Event

GGPoker on Monday announced the launch of exclusive online qualifiers for the upcoming World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOP-C) Calgary, scheduled to run from Sept. 30 through Oct. 12 at the Deerfoot Inn & Casino.

The company said the online satellites are live in the GGPoker app and are designed to award seats to the festival’s $2,300 buy-in WSOP-C Calgary Main Event. GGPoker said qualifier options include daily events open to Canadian players and freeroll qualifiers available to Ontario-based players.

"We are thrilled to give Canadian poker players direct access to the WSOP Circuit once again," said Sarne Lightman, Managing Director of GGPoker. "Calgary has built an incredible reputation as a top-tier live poker destination, and through our exclusive satellites and Ontario freerolls, players of all levels have a real shot at competing for a coveted WSOP Circuit gold ring. Beyond Calgary, we're also preparing to send players back to the iconic Playground venue this November, reinforcing our commitment to connecting online players with world-class live experiences."

GGPoker also said it plans to run exclusive online qualifiers for WSOP Circuit Playground, which is scheduled for Nov. 2 through Nov. 17 at the Playground venue near Montreal. The company said details and satellite schedules for WSOP-C Playground will be announced later.

Players can view the qualifier schedule and enter satellites through the tournament lobby in the GGPoker app, according to the company.
