BetComply helps Playbook Fusion secure Sweden permit in under two weeks

Regulatory consultancy will support additional market approvals as the football management betting game targets further regulated launches.

BetComply has supported boutique games studio Playbook Fusion in securing a Swedish permit, with the consultancy saying the supplier gained approval in less than two weeks.

The regulatory consultancy said it supported Playbook Fusion throughout the Swedish approval process. BetComply added that the product — described as a real-money football management betting game — required deeper compliance expertise to meet regulatory requirements and secure approvals.

BetComply said it will continue to support Playbook Fusion as it pursues regulatory approvals in additional markets to expand its regulated footprint.

Steve Rogers, founder and CEO of Playbook Fusion, said: “As we take Playbook Fusion into more regulated markets, every jurisdiction brings its own requirements and complexities. BetComply understands both the regulatory side and the nature of our product, which makes them an invaluable partner as we scale.”

Mike de Graaff, Chief Compliance Officer at BetComply, said: “Playbook Fusion is moving quickly, but it is doing so with compliance built into the process from the beginning. Sweden is another important step, and we are already supporting the team across a number of additional jurisdictions as Playbook Fusion continues its international expansion.”

Playbook Fusion first partnered with BetComply last year. BetComply said the earlier work included implementing the studio’s UKGC licence, securing an MGA recognition notice and obtaining ISMS certification with eCogra for its Playbook Football™ product.
