Burlingame Studios lands $12M user acquisition financing from PvX Partners

Burlingame Studios said it has secured $12 million in user acquisition financing from financial services firm PvX Partners. The studio announced the financing today.

The financing coincides with Burlingame’s rebrand of its flagship mobile title, Garden Joy, to “Flourish by Garden Joy.” The company said the new name reflects the game’s expansion from a garden-design premise into a broader creativity and design experience.

Burlingame said the financing is structured to provide capital tied to how “Flourish by Garden Joy” and its other titles perform, allowing the studio to invest in marketing and user growth without giving up equity or taking on fixed debt payments.

“Flourish by Garden Joy reflects our growing audience and growing features set,” said Chris McGill, CEO of Burlingame Studios. “This financing allows us to invest in growth with partners that have a deep understanding of the industry to continue accelerating global expansion.”

PvX said it specializes in user acquisition financing for consumer applications, providing non-dilutive capital designed for mobile game and app publishers. The firm said its financing is structured around cohort performance and cash generation.
