Max Verstappen lines up against 100 drivers in Silverstone kart race on Sept. 16
Red Bull’s “Max vs 100” streams live globally on Disney+ and in the US on the ESPN App, with a delayed ESPN2 broadcast.
Max Verstappen will take on 100 drivers in a closed go-kart race titled “Max vs 100” at Silverstone in England on 16 September 2026, with the event streaming live globally on Disney+ and in the US on the ESPN App. ESPN2 will carry a delayed broadcast later the same day.
The Oracle Red Bull Racing driver will start from the back of a 101-kart grid and attempt to overtake all 100 challengers. The company positions the format around whether competitors could beat Verstappen “if the odds were stacked in your favour.”
Red Bull said the participant list mixes athletes, creators and fans, naming ultrarunner Arda Saatçi, basketball shooting coach Chris "Lethal Shooter" Matthews, freestyle mountain biker Matt Jones, and streamers TheGrefg, Caedrel and TheDonato.
Race Director David Terrien, described as a French racing driver and kart designer, built a purpose-made circuit at Silverstone for the event. “Creating a track for 100 drivers at the same time has never been done, never been seen,” Terrien said.
Verstappen framed the event as a return to karting fundamentals. “In go-karts you learn all the basics: starts, defending, overtaking,” he says. “Of course, I spent a long period of my life go-karting, so it's always nice to return. It’s about understanding the grip of the go-kart. I've done so many years in go-karting that you quite naturally get back into things." Asked what he was most looking forward to, he added: “Just seeing the carnage unfold in front of me.”
