Kitsune Studios announces The Library Overdue slot sequel for Aug. 19 launch
Kitsune Studios has announced The Library Overdue, a direct sequel to its 2025 slot release The Library, launching 19th August across Hacksaw Gaming’s OpenRGS network.
According to the UK-based studio, the new title is built on a 5x4 grid with win ways and uses Hacksaw’s Stackways™ mechanic. The company said landing Stackways™ symbols fills a reel with a stack of paying symbols, building up to a maximum of 20 Stackways™ per reel during the bonus round.
Kitsune said the sequel introduces a Stackways™ Booster symbol designed to add up to ten extra Stackways™ symbols per reel during bonus rounds. The game includes two free spins bonuses—Stack the Shelves Spins and Overdue Spins—and offers a maximum win of 10,000x the bet, according to the company.
The studio said The Library Overdue is rated very high volatility and includes bonus-buy and FeatureSpins™ options where permitted, alongside support for more than 20 languages and 80 currencies.
Phillip Douglas, CEO & Founder at Kitsune Studios, said: "The Library is where this studio started, so coming back to it two years on means a massive deal to us."
"We wanted The Library Overdue to be a true showcase of just how much we've grown. It's darker, bigger and more ambitious, but still unmistakably Kitsune. It's both a love letter to the players who were there at the beginning, and a statement of where we're heading next."
