Inspired signs on as Platinum sponsor of ICE Barcelona 2027 charity boxing event
Inspired Entertainment, Inc. (NASDAQ: INSE) has agreed to sponsor Midnight Mayhem, a charitable boxing event scheduled during ICE Barcelona 2027. The company said it will serve as the event’s Platinum Impact Partner, with the bouts set for 19 January 2027.
Organised by Behind the Gloves Ltd, Midnight Mayhem will feature 18 senior gaming industry leaders who will train for several months before stepping into the ring. The organisers are targeting more than €150,000 in fundraising, with each participant selecting a personal charity and distributions overseen by an independent charity advisory board.
Inspired said it will back Robin Hutchison, Chief Commercial Officer at Square in the Air, who is raising funds for Parkinson's UK. Hutchison said: "I'm incredibly proud to be taking part in Midnight Mayhem, with Inspired backing me in the ring and throughout my journey. My inspiration is my dad and uncle, who live with Parkinson's, so this is far more than just stepping into a boxing ring. It's an opportunity to raise vital funds and awareness for my chosen charity, Parkinson's UK, while giving something back to families facing similar challenges. The months ahead will be tough, but I'm ready to give everything I have and make every punch count for a cause that means so much to me."
Claire Osborne, Managing Director of Interactive at Inspired Entertainment, said: "Midnight Mayhem perfectly reflects the spirit of our industry coming together to make a genuine difference while having a great time! We are incredibly excited to support the event as the Platinum Impact Partner and to sponsor Robin on what will undoubtedly be a tough but inspiring journey. His commitment to raising funds for Parkinson's UK is deeply personal, and we’re looking forward to cheering him on as he trains, fundraises and ultimately steps into the ring. I have no doubt this will be one of the standout events of ICE Barcelona 2027."
Funds raised will also support CHIPS Charity, The Oliver's Wish Foundation, and Support Our Paras, alongside the charities chosen by each fighter. The event is affiliated with WBC Cares UK, the charitable arm of the World Boxing Council.
