Lucas Jumalon wins 2026 WSOP Main Event for $10 million

Lucas Jumalon won the 2026 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event in Las Vegas, defeating Finland’s Lauri Saaskilahti heads-up at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas to claim the $10,000,000 first-place prize and the championship bracelet, according to the WSOP.

The 22-year-old from Spokane, Washington topped a field of 9,208 entrants in the $10,000 buy-in event, which the WSOP described as one of the largest Main Event fields in the tournament’s history.

Jumalon entered the nine-handed final table as chip leader with 194 million chips. The final table lineup included Lucas Jumalon, Rami Hammoud, Jamie Shaevel, Greg Mueller, Michael Gagliano, Mario Boos, Lauri Saaskilahti, Han Feng and Evagoras Evagorou.

The WSOP said Saaskilahti earned $6,000,000 as runner-up. Other reported payouts included $3,750,000 for third-place finisher Greg Mueller, $2,750,000 for fourth-place finisher Michael Gagliano, and $2,250,000 for fifth-place finisher Han Feng, with sixth through ninth paying at least $1,000,000.

"Youth is served at one of the most spirited final tables of all time," said World Series of Poker Chief Executive Officer Ty Stewart. "The 2026 Main Event and its live television coverage reminded us why we love this game and the people who play it." The WSOP also noted Jumalon is one of the youngest Main Event champions in history, one year older than 2009 champion Joe Cada, who won at age 21.
