PUBG MOBILE World Cup group stage starts Aug. 6 in Paris

The 2026 PUBG MOBILE World Cup (PMWC) group stage begins August 6 in Paris as part of the Esports World Cup, with play scheduled through August 9. PUBG MOBILE Esports said the tournament carries a $3,025,000 prize pool.

The group stage features 32 teams split into two groups of 16. Each team will play 12 matches, with the top five from each group advancing directly to the Grand Finals. Teams placing 6th to 13th move to the Survival Stage (August 11-12), according to the organiser.

The field includes reigning 2025 PMWC champions Yangon Galacticos, who received a direct invitation, alongside recent title winners 4Thrives Esports (PMGO Season 1), GodLike Esports (BMPS 2026) and Alpha7 Esports (2025 PMGC). Group A includes 4Thrives Esports, DRX, FURIA, Nigma Galaxy and RRQ RYU among others, while Group B includes Alpha7 Esports, Team Vitality, GodLike Esports, Wolves Esports and Yangon Galacticos.

Key dates for the event are: Group Stage (August 6-9), Survival Stage (August 11-12) and Grand Finals (August 14-16). PUBG MOBILE Esports said the circuit drew 3.8 million peak concurrent viewers in 2025 and positioned PMWC as a top summer event on its competitive calendar.
