A Pakistani expat living in Abu Dhabi says an AED 100,000 prize from The UAE Lottery’s Lucky Day Draw helped pay for his son’s wedding celebrations, cover medical surgery, and support family members.
The operator said Abdul Salam Muhammad Ashraf, 55, a limousine chauffeur from Sahiwal, Pakistan, won the AED 100,000 Lucky Chance prize in one of the November 2025 Lucky Day Draws.
Speaking nine months later, he said: “I was able to complete the things that mattered most to me. My son’s wedding was a wonderful family occasion, my surgery was successful, and I was also able to support my loved ones. I’m grateful for that.”
Ashraf said he also donated to charity and helped his daughter towards purchasing a car in Pakistan. “I didn’t buy anything for myself,” he said. “I wanted to use the prize to support my family and help with things that were important to us. That made me very happy.” He continues working as a limousine chauffeur, according to the company.
The operator added that Lucky Day Draws run every Wednesday and Saturday and currently list an AED 30 million grand prize and an AED 5 million second prize for each draw. Ashraf said he continues to participate and alternates between selecting numbers himself and using Easy Pick.
The UAE Lottery said its games are regulated by the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA) and reiterated its responsible gaming positioning. Tickets are sold via the operator’s website.
