ThrillTech has been granted a Category A1 Manufacturer’s Licence by the Hellenic Gaming Commission (HGC), opening the door for the supplier to offer its ThrillPots side-bet jackpot product to regulated iGaming operators in Greece.
Giles Potter, Chief Marketing Officer at ThrillTech, said: “As we continue to expand internationally, we’re especially proud of this approval, as it makes ThrillTech the first specialist iGaming jackpot provider to be licensed in Greece. We can’t wait to roll out in the market and demonstrate how our side-bet jackpot model delivers compelling new engagement mechanics which delight players while generating significant new revenues for our operator partners.”
ThrillTech said it applies for its own licences and certifications because its jackpot system operates independently of operators’ core casino games and betting products. The company said its side-bet jackpots do not interfere with core game mathematics or alter the return-to-player (RTP) probabilities of the underlying games.
Instead, ThrillTech said it licenses and certifies its proprietary random number generator (RNG) software, which determines side-bet jackpot outcomes. According to the company, the side-bet jackpots have a separate operator-defined RTP and are funded by side bets placed by opted-in players.
Greece is the latest regulated jurisdiction added to ThrillTech’s licensing and certification footprint, which the company said also includes Ontario and Gibraltar, as well as the United Kingdom, Sweden, the Netherlands, Romania, Croatia, Malta, Brazil and Peru.
