Stake launches in Buenos Aires Province, Argentina via IPLyC licence

Stake has launched in Argentina’s Buenos Aires Province, the company said today, going live with its online sportsbook and casino via stake.bet.ar.

The operator said it is operating under a licence granted by the Provincial Institute of Lottery and Casinos (IPLyC). Buenos Aires Province is Argentina’s largest and most populous province, with more than 17 million people.

Stake said the launch continues its expansion across Latin America, citing recent growth in Mexico, Peru, Brazil and Colombia. The company also pointed to its ambassador partnership with former Argentina striker Sergio Aguero as part of its local fan engagement.

Diana Otalora, LatAm General Manager at Stake, said: “Argentina is an important market for us and a natural next step in our expansion across Latin America. There is an incredibly passionate sporting culture, a large and digitally engaged population and strong long-term potential for Stake.

“We’ve continued to build momentum across Latin America in recent years, and this launch reflects our ambition to establish Stake as the leading entertainment brand in the region. Argentina is a market with energy and identity and we’re excited to bring our world-class sportsbook and casino experience to players through stake.bet.ar.”
