ITL to Showcase Player Protection Technology at ARE 2026

Innovative Technology (ITL) is going to participate in the Amusement & Retail Entertainment (ARE) Expo 2026, which will be held at The Cotton Sheds in Manchester on 28–29 April. At stand 33, the company, along with their UK Trading Partner E-Service, will showcase their latest cash handling and age & identity technology.

Andy Bullock, Senior Business Development Manager, said: “We are looking forward to supporting ARE again after the positive inaugural event in Manchester last year which gave us a fantastic networking opportunity as well as access to informative workshop sessions on hot issues affecting the industry. We are delighted to announce for the 2026 event, Andrew O’Brien, our Head of Biometric Technology, has secured a speaking slot in the GBG sponsored seminar at 1:30 – 2:00PM on the first day looking at how facial analysis can enhance player protection. He’ll highlight the importance of technology in helping to prevent underage gambling and self-excluded access, with a focus on data privacy and compliance considerations. It’s one not to miss if you are attending!”

Andy continued: “This year our joint stand with E-Service will have all our latest solutions from both sides of the business – cash validation equipment, facial age verification and physical access control technology. We’ll have live demos showing how we can help operators perform accurate and anonymous age checks both on-machine and at gate access points to 18+ gaming zones using MyCheckr or ICU Lite. Linking our devices to MyConnect sends alerts via an app notifying staff of a potential underage or self-excluded play or entry attempt which enhances access control and improves staff efficiency.

“Plus, visitors will be able to see how easy it is to integrate our note and coin peripherals for secure, fast and efficient cash payments. Visitors can demo the compact NV22 Spectral (NV22S) mixed note recycler and the Spectral Payout with an 80 mixed note recycling capacity. When our validators are used in combination with the SMART Coin System we can offer the gaming market a full solution for both note and coin recycling.”

Concluding Andy said: “We are also looking forward to catching up with the Institute of Licensing during their tour of the exhibition floor on the second day of the show. ARE presents a great platform to discuss the changing landscape of the UK leisure, retail and gaming sectors – and what this means for operators, manufacturers and local authorities – see you there!”
