Tipico Joins the European Gaming and Betting Association

The European Gaming and Betting Association (EGBA) has welcomed Tipico, Germany’s leading sports betting and online gambling operator, as its newest member. The partnership strengthens EGBA’s position as the leading voice for Europe’s online gambling sector and reinforces the association’s representation in one of Europe’s most important and largest national gambling markets.

Tipico’s membership of EGBA demonstrates its commitment to advancing industry cooperation and standards, and will significantly strengthen EGBA’s representation in Germany and across German-speaking markets. Tipico will now begin contributing in EGBA’s working groups and to the association’s initiatives, including on responsible advertising, safer gambling and anti-money laundering.

“As a company committed to player protection and regulatory excellence, we look forward to contributing our expertise to EGBA’s important work. This partnership aligns perfectly with our commitment to promoting high industry standards and our fight against the black market for online gambling in Europe,” Jochen Weiner, Director Public Policy at Tipico, said.

“We’re delighted to welcome Tipico to EGBA and to start 2026 with such a strong addition to our membership. As Germany’s leading online gambling operator with a strong track record, Tipico brings valuable expertise to our association and will reinforce our collective efforts to promote a well-regulated and sustainable gambling sector in Europe. We look forward to working closely with our new colleagues on our shared commitment to high industry standards,” said Maarten Haijer, Secretary General of EGBA.

Cookies are widely used in online advertising. Neither us, advertisers or our advertising partners can gain personally identifiable information from these cookies. You can opt-out of almost all advertising cookies at http://www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices although we would prefer that you didn’t as ultimately adverts help keep much of the internet free. It is also worth noting that opting out of advertising cookies will not mean you won’t see adverts, just simply that they won’t be tailored to you any longer.

We fund our site by showing adverts as you browse our site. These adverts are usually managed by a partner specialising in providing adverts for multiple sites. Invariably these partners place cookies to collect anonymous data about the websites you visits so they can personalise the adverts to you, ensure that you don’t see the same adverts too frequently and ultimately report to advertisers on which adverts are working.
