Clear River Games, a video game publisher specialising in classic and retro games, in partnership with developers City Connection, today announced that RUSHING BEAT X: Return of Brawl Brothers, will feature as part of the Steam® Next Fest event, taking place from June 9 through June 16!

Not only will gamers have a chance to view all new gameplay taken from the western release, but they can also download a brand-new demo, as they deal rough justice to the fiendish denizens of Neo-Ciso!

This iconic beat-em-up bonanza will also be coming to Nintendo® Switch™2, delighting new console owners with some street-style justice when the title launches.

So many games with so many names, it’s easy to lose track, but fighting fans in the west may well know Rushing Beat better as ‘Rival Turf’, the name used when the franchise first debuted on the SNES™ in 1992. A lot has changed in more than the three decades since their first appearance, but the Brawl Brothers are back better than ever and still taking down the bad guys with style!

Fully re-imagined for modern audiences, RUSHING BEAT X: Return of Brawl Brothers, delivers intense beat-em-up, side-scrolling action for one or two players, as our heroes Rick Norton and Douglas Bild join forces with a further four playable characters, and battle to discover the secrets of the deadly Zeekus virus, hoping to discover the true mastermind behind the despicable plan.

New moves, new weapons and new allies feature as gamers traverse ever more stunning locations, spanning shopping malls, slums, subways, and research facilities (of course) as gamers battle to uncover the truth and once again save the city from certain doom! Challenging side-missions fuse with challenges, ensuring that the action never grows stale, all with special effects and bombastic action that’s sure to please fans both old and new!

With easy-to-use auto-combos, even brawling-beginners can enjoy the exhilarating action. Chain together your own combos incorporating actions like counterattacks, follow-up strikes, and weapon-based attacks, all the while building up your gauge power to the max, resulting in Rage Mode being activated!

Steam Next Fest is the much-loved regular week-long online event held on Steam, allowing developers to showcase upcoming games and engage with the community through free demos, livestreams, and direct interactions. Celebrating Steam Next Fest, Clear River Games and City Connection are delighted to enable games to discover the over-the-top action of RUSHING BEAT X: Return of Brawl Brothers for themselves in the first demo of the new entry in the legendary Rushing Beat franchise.

The Steam Next Fest demo is available on the Steam page right here during 9th – 16th June, so be sure to check it out!
