Multiplier Wilds and expanding symbols take centre stage in Old Western showdown

Independent slots studio Thunderkick has launched The Gunman of Goldwood, the latest addition to its distinctive product portfolio that places players at the heart of a duel on the American frontier.

The titular Gunman is the game’s highest-paying symbol, surrounded by revolvers, knives, and whiskey bottles. Bull skull Wilds amplify win potential in the base game, with any combination featuring one, two, three or four Wilds receiving a respective multiplier of 2x, 4x, 8x, or 16x.

The Duel feature also enhances base game action and can be triggered at random on any spin. Once activated, any symbol that forms part of a winning combination expands to cover the entire reel, significantly increasing payouts.

The bonus game can be triggered by landing three to five scatters, with players awarded an initial 8 to 16 free spins. The Duel feature remains active throughout the round, expanding winning combinations, whilst one Wild is randomly dropped on reels two to four before every spin, boosting wins.

Free spins can be retriggered by landing an additional three to five scatters, helping to unlock the game’s 7,500x win potential. A number of Ante Bet and Bonus Buy options are also available in regulated markets where legislation allows, providing players with control over their gameplay.

The Gunman of Goldwood continues Thunderkick’s portfolio expansion, showcasing the provider’s commitment to delivering high-quality, feature-rich gaming experiences that strike a balance between entertainment and payout potential.

Johannes Polbring, Product Owner at Thunderkick, said: The Gunman of Goldwood is the first game I have created from scratch at Thunderkick, and I am incredibly happy with the end product.”

“The slot breathes new life into a classic theme, with the Duel feature and base game multiplier Wilds promising anticipation and immersion from the outset. The features are strong and proven, however, the combination feels new and exciting.”

“I look forward to seeing how players respond to the game, and I am optimistic it will perform well and drive engagement on behalf of Thunderkick’s operator partners.”
